3v3 Hockey Tournament 

Where are the events live streamed?

The Figure Skating Events will all be streamed on the Independence Community Ice Facebook Page!

The 3v3 Tournament will be streamed on the Independence Community Ice Youtube Page. 

How is the 3v3 tournament structured?

The hockey portion of the ICI Winter Games will be a round robin tournament style of 3v3 games. There will be 5 age divisions:

  • Mites (U6/U8)
  • Squirt (10U)
  • PeeWee (12U)
  • Bantam (14U)
  • High School

Each team is limited to 3 players (no goalies). Teams will play 2 - 4 minute halves with a 2 game minimum. Top 2 teams from each division will play for 1st and 2nd place.

What are the beginner skating events?

The Beginner Division is for skaters enrolled in any Snowplow levels and Basic 1-2. The Beginner Division will consist of 3 events:

  • Swizzles to Snowplow Stop (4 swizzles are required)
  • March into a two-foot glide
  • Moving dip into a hop

Highest cumulative scores for each event will receive a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place medal.

$30/Skater 

What are the intermediate skating events?

The Intermediate Division is for skaters enrolled in Basic 3-6. The Intermediate Division will consist of 3 events:

  • March into a one-foot glide (Right & Left)
  • Moving Lunges (Right & Left)
  • Russian Circles (Inside & Outside Edges)

Highest cumulative scores from each event will receive a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place medal.

$30/Skater 

What are the Advanced Skating Events?

The Advanced Division is for skaters enrolled in Pre-Freeskate through Freeskate 6 in Learn to Skate, and any competition skaters. The Advanced Division will consist of 3 events:

  • Jumps (Choose best 3)
  • Spins (Choose best 3)
  • Step Sequence (under 30 sec., must include mohawk, three-turns, & toe steps in any order)

Highest cumulative scores from each event will receive a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place medal.
